
Julie Leoni
Julie Leoni is a secondary school teacher, a mother, a researcher and a Life and Business coach. Her first degree is in English and her Post Graduate Certificate in Education included drama. She has one Masters degree in psychoanalysis and another in Education which includes areas such as sociology, child development and gender studies. Her PhD in Education was in the area of Emotional Intelligence, loss and bereavement and included work with children who find school challenging. Julie also has a Post Graduate Certificate in Life and Business Coaching.
As well as teaching GCSE and A level, Julie works with The Open University and the University of Chester tutoring undergraduates, Masters level and doctoral students. She has written and delivers a foundation degree at the Marches School where she also delivers M level training for teachers. Julie run local and national workshops in emotional intelligence and has had academic work published.
As well as her academic work Julie has a foundation certificate in Transactional Analysis as well as a number of training hours in Transactional Analysis in Business and Education. She has a Foundation Certificate in Counselling Skills and has undertaken shorter trainings in gestalt, person-centred and transpersonal counselling as well loss and bereavement. Julie meditates and practices mindfulness. Julie integrates all this learning into her teaching and her coaching.
Julie is CRB, has Qualified Teacher Status checked and is a member of the General Teaching Council and the British Association of Psychotherapists. She is fully insured.
